Objective: To create excitement and awareness of new software
Strategy Execution: When their new “Language to Layout” software was used as part of the design and manufacture of the new Corvette, Cascade Design Automation’s race car theme promotion made the announcement. Booth attendees at the Design Automation Conference received toy race cars as they “test drove” the new software. Individually numbered, four-color process romance cards with race car sounds gave recipients a chance to win a trip for two to the Monaco Grand Prix.
Results: On-site trade show orders tripled the initial program costs, and sales continued to increase immediately following the promotion.
